Making a great thing greater, Daiwa steps it up with the Tatula 150. Made with power fishing in mind the new 150 sits in between the Tatula CT/Tatula 100 (100 size) and the Tatula HD (200 size) in the Tatula line-up and is tailor made for those looking for a midsized baitcaster work horse.
Baitcaster brilliance starts with Daiwa’s Real Four design concept, with Real Engine, Real Control, Real Endurance, and Real Custom combining to make the Tatula 150 technically advanced and performance driven. 
A precision designed solid aluminium frame and gear side plate delivers maximum power and unrivalled durability, while its ergonomically designed profile fits effortlessly in the palm of the hand. Housed within the rock solid frame is Daiwa’s famous Digigear gear system. Daiwa’s first generation of digitally engineered gear design ensures a perfect mesh between the ultra-tough brass drive gear and pinion gear for optimized speed, power, durability and smoothness.
The Tatula 150’s outstanding casting performance is driven by Daiwa’s innovative T-Wing System (TWS), with the pivoting t-shaped line guide delivering unparalleled casting performance and line control. Magforce Z provides supreme casting control, with its twenty-increment magnetic cast control dial delivering more precision and control than ever before.
Fitted with a deep, large capacity aircraft grade aluminium spool that can hold a tonne of line, the Tatula 150 spool also works seamlessly with TWS to reduce line angle and friction, and improve overall casting performance.
Smooth just got smoother with Daiwa’s new Air Rotation.  A technology that makes cranking the handle effortless, Air Rotation is as light as air, and as smooth as silk, and has to be seen, or more to the point, felt to be believed.
At the core of Air Rotation is precision designed and machined gearing, a level of refinement that makes for buttery cranking and unrivalled smoothness when under load.
A big motor calls for big brakes and the Tatula has the biggest and best there is, with Daiwa’s UTD giving you the muscle to stop just about anything that swims, while the 150’s extra long 100mm Swept Handle and large paddle knobs combine for ultimate cranking power, balance, and control.

The requirements of Australian anglers are unique amongst the globe. None more so than the needs of anglers in the northern states, chasing barramundi and other tropical sportfish on baitcaster tackle. Daiwa’s TATULA range has taken the market by storm with the perfect blend of line capacity, performance & value. TATULION is an evolution, elevating performance to another level with the introduction of a waterproof carbon ATD Drag system inside a 200-size capacity baitcaster reel for the first time. The 200-size line capacity demanded by many anglers allows the use of heavy braided line and plenty of it. The Carbon ATD drag equipped in TATULION is water sealed, with a rubber gasket lining the top of the stack helping to keep water out, which ultimately means a more durable and longer-lasting drag performance. TATULION’s drag also features an audible click, a feature long used in flagship Daiwa baitcast reels such as Steez and Morethan. The audible drag click ensures anglers know exactly what’s going on, allowing them to adjust their fight to ultimately land more fish. TATULION features an aluminium gear side plate, which allows the use of the carbon ATD drag by giving Daiwa engineers more room inside the side plate to equip the slightly thicker drag stack. A host of other improvements can be seen in TATULION, such as an aluminium long-arm drag star and EVA handle knobs, making it not only easier to adjust drag on the fly mid-fight, but also improving overall grip and comfort of the reel while in use.
